COVID 19 FREE-

Just six days after New Zealand declared itself free of COVID-19 and lifted restrictions on mass gatherings, more than 20,000 fans witnessed the Otago Highlanders edge a 28-27 thriller against the Waikato Chiefs on Saturday.

As New Zealand welcomed the return of live sport it was the highest profile sports fixture worldwide since the coronavirus pandemic, and one of the first with an unrestricted crowd, did not disappoint, as Bryn Gatland's last-gasp drop goal settled a nail-biter in Dunedin.

Gatland drilled the winning points in the 79th minute, denying the Chiefs — who are coached by his father, ex-Wales boss Warren — after they had snatched the lead with their own drop goal just a minute earlier.

The Super Rugby Aotearoa game was played in a festival atmosphere at the Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Life Behind Blood

Herman Webster Mudgett, better known as Dr. Henry Howard Holmes or, more commonly, as H. H. Holmes, was an American serial killer. While he confessed to 27 murders, only nine could be plausibly confirmed and several of the people he claimed to have murdered were still alive.

Born: 16 May 1861

Died: 7 May 1896,

Nicknames: Dr. Death, The Arch Fiend, The Torture Doctor

Besides being a serial killer, Holmes was also a con artist and a bigamist, the subject of more than 50 lawsuits in Chicago alone.

Holmes had an entrepreneurial spirit. Based on his former medical education and his connections, he was able to sell skeletons to medical labs and schools. "He, and sometimes a hired assistant, were accused of stripping the flesh off the bodies, dissecting them, and preparing the viable skeletons. The rest of the remains would be tossed in pits of lime or acid, effectively breaking down the remaining evidence."

COVID 19

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, dry cough, and tiredness. Other symptoms that are less common and may affect some patients include aches and pains, nasal congestion, headache, conjunctivitis, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell or a rash on skin or discoloration of fingers or toes. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually.
